What Stops The Penny Dropping?

Why abstract-mindedness prevents the natural inclusional penny from dropping?

A brief poetic reflection on what locks most people in to a damaging perception of reality that automatically prevents receptivity to what would open the way to a more sustainable, loving and enjoyable way of life

There is a very crucial distinction between ‘detached cognition’, made to one side of or above, and ‘hollow-hearted experiencing’ in the midst of life. This entails a fundamental difference in perception, which depends on whether ‘One’s Self Centre’ is envisaged as a definitive atomic/particulate ‘whole object’, complete and discrete in it self, or as a ‘hole’, a receptive cavity dynamically enveloped by energy within the omnipresence of space. I think I have always envisaged my self-centre as the latter – the inductive centre of ‘some-body’ in the limitlessness of ‘no-body’. How else could ‘I’ or ‘you’ be as natural energetic inclusions of space in space? Nothing else is consistent with our life experience or makes consistent sense. But that doesn’t bother the ‘abstract-minded’, who carry on regardless with definitive ‘map-making’ and categorization, even when paying lip service to the fact that ‘the map is not the territory’. The penny just can’t drop into a detached mind that holds itself aloof from what it naturally includes and is included in. More’s the great and terrible pity!

Midst Life

A Message from Soul to Sole

I AM

Deep Silence

In the midst of Life –

A cavity enveloped

In swirling movement

Of light in heat and sound and electricity

Shrouded in Silence

Reaching out to Everywhere

Endlessly

.

I AM NOT

Above

Or set aside

Like some Great Super Visor

Overarching All

Or local governor

Enforcing Law & Order

On natural wildness

.

I simply LIVE

Sustained by all around me

Sustaining all around me

Through my love of the life

Of each in the other

Not all One

Alone

.

So, I ask you

Does that make me Odd Man Out or Lonesome God

Or Even Woman

As isolated Figure

Or, quite naturally,

Somewhere in the heart of each and all?
